The Vinyl Thread: Still Listen On Wax, Don't Use The CD

Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Canceled that ebay transaction for the Yield vinyl. It was only $27 plus shipping costs, but its nice to know money won't be wasted on a knockoff.
I might be able to get to an E-bow.

Ran across a vinyl edition of The Sight Below "Glider", which was a limited release on Ghostly and sold out really quickly. They usually go for $50 minimum, but found it for $15 and misplaced in the "G" section. Love it when that happens.

I once bought a mislabeled "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" (Official Release Series 180g vinyl, sealed) for $12 or so.

Voicing support for CCMusic.com--got my 4 Wilco records today, arrived within a week, perfect shape, less than $80 for 4 double-LPs, including postage.

Brutal. Like blasting across the alkali flats in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated...

I loved their earlier stuff, especially their last LP Dripping. I'm taking my time warming up to this album. It's good, but not really hitting me like Dripping initially did. I'm sure it will, it's just taking a few listens. Great, great band. Go see em live, they're doing a crazy long North American tour right now.

Oh, and those Zep remasters are tits. I'm so stoked to finally have a copy of Physical Graffiti.

me and VinylMe please are not off to a great start.

Unless im a little batshit fucking crazy (which I might be), side 2 of FJM consists of instrumental tracks from who knows fucking what. Side 2 does definitely not consist of "When you're smiling...." and "Nothing good ever happens...."

WTF is up with that? Is that even possible?

I emailed them in disgust.

how is that their fault? i mean, ultimately theyre responsible for taking care of it, but what would you have them do to prevent that?

Quality control.

They are responsible for the product. End of story really.

I was cool in my email but I expect them to take care of this immediately. You can't charge that much for a record and membership if you deliver a product like that.
