I thoroughly enjoyed Hunger Games but then again Battle Royale is among my most re-watchable flims. I love the dog eat dog theme. Its a great canvas for rapid character development.

Straight out of Malloy's Top 25 Favorite Films. Don't expect to see this one breaking into my list any time soon. I don't love when main characters are psychologists/psychiatrists/whatever. It feels like begging for critical psychoanalysis, a cheap way to make the film seem deeper than it might actually be. Not that this specific movie is especially shallow, just that it doesn't quite reach the psychological/emotional depths that it wants to.

Ordinary People relies heavily around a psychiatrist's words, but that movie works because of how smart the relationships are between the characters (like Good Will Hunting). You can make it work. Man, I love that movie. People have labled it as the movie that should have lost to Raging Bull at the Oscars, but if you strip that away it's a fine, well acted film.

Some okay fight sequences but I wouldn't call it fun. Also, Keanu seems to be parodying his already underwhelming self.

That was here a week ago. Almost saw it. I do love me some Tom Hanks, but it doesn't look that great. Doesn't help that the real life crew says its bullshit.

Just saw Blue Jasmine, the latest from Woody Allen. Its pretty good, i didnt expect something so dark from him again.
Cate Blanchette deserves an oscar..and Andrew Dice Clay is pretty good too. There is a moment in the movie with him thats priceless...i was disappointed to see Louie CK got a small part tough.

Also, The Way Way Back. Boring and predictable, full of dull moments and a bored cast. Garbage.

I saw the first 4 movies. The first part is a classic, Clive Barker at his finest...and Doug Bradley too.
The second is ok, the third is boring and the fourth one should have been great, but had a lot of problems during production and its final result is a mess.
