If I have to explain how Muse is a RH knockoff, you've already shown your incompetence. Good day.

To me, Muse has always sounded like what Radiohead would have sounded like if they hadn't switched gears after Ok Computer. Radiohead seems to be a big influence on Muse (I've never seen that confirmed by the band, just feels that way when listening to their stuff).

That doesn't mean that they sound like Radiohead or are ripping them off. Radiohead has always been more interesting and I think better. But I get what people are saying. And I think a lot of the appeal of Muse is that they kinda stepped in to fill a void that Radiohead purposefully left open.

Of course, I don't have much of a leg to stand on as I've not heard any of Muse's stuff post Black Holes and Revelations. So, maybe they sound even more like Radiohead? Maybe less now? I have no idea. But there's a pretty clear line from Ok Computer (and The Bends, especially) to Origin of Symmetry and Absolution.

Someone in the comments said: "So you accidentally made a Muse song".
There, thats the whole explanation. Muse is The Bends/OKC era Radiohead but bombastic. Its really that obvious.

OK, so I'll be more clear and zero in on the aesthetic aspect. They FEEL like a lesser Radiohead to me, OK? I'm not going to get into music theory FFS. After doing a little research here I've found Thom feels they rip them off also.. so I might be wrong, we all might.. I admit as much... But I do not like Muse.. they feel very uninspired, unoriginal, and shallow to me. The opposite of what makes RH great.
