I said maybe.

What kind of director has a mommy in the background to run to and clean up the mess he's made??

This film is gonna suck.

this happens a lot, dime. It's just that comic book and star wars have such obsessive fan bases that they dig this information up and worry about it.

I was only kidding but I can't actually think of any director that has a guy he goes to to fix things in post, unless they come as a team and that's established. It is probably just bad reporting all the same.

Part of me is inclined to agree with you. The other part wants that not to be the case at all.

I wouldn't be too worried about the final cut either. Edwards didn't have his film outsourced to some damn company for what sounds like a pretty serious overhaul - he had his friend, Tony fucking Gilroy, help out with the final cut. On the surface it sounds similar but the details reveal a much different situation.

Im still surprised on your views...in what world you do expensive reshoots, get another director to help, and dont release any kind of trailer a good thing?
The premiere of the movie is this december and there is not a trailer released. The marketing campaing has been weird to say the least...Is this going to bomb? well, i dont know...world war z was a hit despite the troubled production, and the SW brand might suggest its going to be a hit anyway...but, this whole thing is really weird.

I like to follow the creative process of movies. Its something im interested in...of course, the important thing is the result, if the movie turns out great, nobody will pay attention to Tony Gilroy coming to direct the reshoots.

Reading so many different takes on this situation especially in comparison with what happened over at Suicide Squad. This is different right? We should still be hopefull here. Right?

Guys, I really need this movie to be good. And I really want it to have a different tone than the Saga movies.

Suicide Squad crushed a lot of hope. Especially considering that Disney is behind this one. I don't know.
