it's quaint. Pigeon Forge was the tourist trap area, but Gatlinburg felt nice.

Yeah I think. Pigeon Forge is like a mini-Branson, MO. Lots of tacky museums and restaurants.

Nope. That's Sevierville. Pigeon Forge is closer to the interstate and where the outlet mall is. Sevierville is where Dollywood is.

Reports around here are suggesting very little of actual downtown Gatlinburg burned. A couple of businesses on the edge of town towards Sevierville but little else. The fire really blazed between Gatlinburg and Sevierville. My inlaws have a timeshare at the Westgate resort that's about halfway between the two and 75 out of 100 buildings are gone. Just ashes. Of course, that's gonna happen when your units are all log cabins.
