I didn't receive my CD in the mail today, nor did I get a link for the digital download in my e-mail. ?

So... Who else pre-ordered the ten club edition because of the extra digital content only to find out that the extra content was the mind your manners video which can be viewed for free on YouTube? Yeah, this guy did and was kinda let down.

ITs not sent to email. Its in your account under order history. Go to your lightning bolt order and there will be multiple options for you to download.

Well, at least it wasn't a complete lie. I didn't realize there was a video in the digital download.

A+ on the gif. :D

Knowing Ten Club's way of doing business.... did any of you really expected more than what we got in terms of digital content?
I mean, really?

I ordered LB from Ten Club because I'm a freaking fan boy, but no way I was expecting any "special" digital content.
Actually, that video is much more than I expected.

(and that sucks)

No. I ordered it because I figured I'd get it before the street date, and that if I didn't and I couldn't wait till my physical copy came in I'd at least have a digital copy at midnight. Also because I figured there was a slight chance that (like S/T and Backspacer) the 10C edition might be a bit nicer packaging-wise. I did get the album a day early, so at least one of my hopes were fulfilled (though I wish I had gotten it on the previous Friday like everyone else in the USA apparently did, but oh well).

None of that makes the "digital bonus content" any less ridiculous though. Especially since they used it as a selling point. If they had just tossed it into the download files without saying anything and let people be surprised, it might've been a nice little mini Easter egg. But by bothering to put it in the description and making it a selling point, it just opens them up for the usual ridicule.

(I actually really thought it was just going to be some wallpaper made up out of the artwork for all of the songs)

Sucks for you guys that it was only the MYM live video, and that it was immediately posted on Youtube... but hey, at least you were the first to see it, for what it's worth*.

*it's worth nothing

I swear pre-ordering stuff is the most pointless piece of bullshit ever unless they're legit offering you a really really good deal

It wouldn't even play on my laptop. I still haven't seen it. And I have no desire to.

If I were in your boat, I'd be the same. I'm just content listening to the album.

Can I tell you a secret? After playing it 3-4 times in its entirety after I got it yesterday, I've felt no desire to listen to it at all today (and thus, have not). I went to bed last night thinking there were a handful of songs I was really starting to dig, but when I woke up today I couldn't tell you how they went, and just never felt the urge to put the disc back in. Hopefully it was just the kind of mood I was in today, but even now as I sit here listening to other albums, no part of me wants to put LB back on.

Don't feel bad. I've had that happen before with other albums. I find it's best not to force it, or it may start to feel like a chore and you could start to despise the album.

Give it some time to stew. You crave it when the time is right, and you're in the right mindset.

I just find it really funny that we spent all that time watching chopped up bits of film / EPK and interviews by Danny Clinch, and the most obvious thing in the world would have been to throw all that in as a bundle for 10Cers on DVD or something. But they go and film a pointless, lacklustre video of the single for which we already have a video (a good one). And of course it's on Youtube anyway.

Yeah, for me the album is bitter sweet, because a few of the tracks *almost* make it into completely sweet territory. But it's that *almost* that's providing me with the bitter taste after listening to the thing non-stop for ages; a few of the decisions made on these songs were crazy. And I need to make peace with that if I'm going to come back to it much, which I might, and I might not. It's still looking good though, and even if I never play it again my thoughts on it are fairly fixed and pleasantly surprised.
