Are they motivated by wanting the people on air to not lose them money?

What if their left leaning funding sources dry up if they don’t promote some of these types of articles more frequently?

I expected this article on HuffPo, not NPR

This whole Ukraine thing has provided great examples of horseshoe theory.

Trying not to let these things get to me so much, but this one really does. This advocacy groups come across just as entitled if not moreso than your everyday Karen, doing a great harm to actual education and engagement. It's beyond offensive to good faith efforts.

"Project DROC" has around 1000 Twitter followers and their reply has 142 likes; the OP has 16k followers and the tweet itself has 122,000 likes. Do you think that reply is in good faith? Do you think posting it here was done in good faith? Do you think this interaction is worth spending time thinking about?

If you are asking me if I think this tweet was done in good faith, then yes I do. Small scale advocacy group 100% has an incentive to engage in this way in lieu of meaningful resources.

You're on to something with bi3 posting it here though.

It is my understanding the intent of this thread was a space to bring to light the excesses of modern social justice activism, one of the most frequent being obsessive one-upmanship in social signalling in order to gain attention in a crowded market. Another is argumentum ad hominem.

By the way, that guy didn't say he painted his house for gay pride. Maybe the dude just likes rainbows.
