I was figuring it was before Endgame which is the 26th(?), so if the show something there it will for sure be on front of EG.dimejinky99 wrote:wease wrote:When is Celebration?dimejinky99 wrote:Would have thought before end game. But who knows.

Would they cross the streams like that? Same audiences are going to see both outside a tiny fractional few maybe. I wonder if they’ll use that. They didn’t have a Solo teaser in front of TLJ even.

Wow.
Fun as Solo is you definitely get more bang for your cinema bucks with infinity war

They won't put it in front of Endgame (or they won't debut it then). They won't want to steal focus. I don't think they'll debut it in front of Captain Marvel either, for that reason. And it's not like those movies need the boost

They did, but it was already out and on the internet. So it was just fun to see it on a bigger screenwease wrote:They had it in front of Infinity War, tho.dimejinky99 wrote:wease wrote:I was figuring it was before Endgame which is the 26th(?), so if the show something there it will for sure be on front of EG.dimejinky99 wrote:wease wrote:When is Celebration?dimejinky99 wrote:Would have thought before end game. In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter as both franchises are ending but Which will have made more money globally at the end of its theatrical release? Episode IX or Endgame?

I think Endgame, because the last Avengers movie was universally loved. Of course episode IX will do fantastic as well. It's the final part of the saga every adult grew up on, and which has had such great box office success with grown ups and kids in the past few years. Solo not doing great has nothing to do with it. It's the final episode. People will go to see it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX (2019)
I cant speak to your side of the Atlantic but starwars has far more reach with regular cinema goers here than the MCU. Which is kind of more niche than SW. as far as I know TFA is still the #1 at the box office here (which amounts to absolutely nothing at all money wise in the grand scheme of things)
But word of mouth drives things here more than any marketing campaign. SW gets tv ads here whereas MCU films don’t.
It’s weird.
It really doesn’t matter to any of us, both sagas are coming to an end and we don’t make or lose anything from it either way. But the reason I askedt, Is it all that fractured? (I don’t believe it is) and if it is what effect will that have?
