Well, after several listens I might like right before the solo the best. Whew....that fucking voice.
S/T might overtake Backspacer, if only because, well... this. It's making Backspacer seem insignificant to say the least. I only put it there because I enjoy it all the way through even though I don't love anything on it. S/T is a very patchy listen. I only like half of it really.Juvenal wrote:Your lack of love for S/T is saddening, sir.harmless wrote:Everything from Riot Act upwards

Yeah, the video version is cut. That might actually account for Matt's out-of-time kablam.Iowaska_Experience wrote:Are you listening to the video version? No, but that's a good excuse for me to give it another play.Iowaska_Experience wrote:Are you listening to the video version? Everything is between "OK" and "really good", up to and including "Gone". Everything else I find bland and boring.Juvenal wrote:I know it's off topic but what do you like off S/T? I think it's pretty solid.
Even Army Reserve? That's a great song. As an aside I saw them perform it at Turin (apologies if time befuddles the memory) and Stone and Jeff sang the most awesome background vocals during the chorus. I get why people like Army Reserve but it does nothing for me.Juvenal wrote:Even Army Reserve? That's a great song. Lets not discuss the last one.harmless wrote:It might click years down the line, who knows.
Generally I don't like Ed's song-writing style across the album, with a few exceptions. And then Mike writes the last one
Me too!WtOB? wrote:I like the last one.

Inside Job is definitely better live - I saw a nice darker version in Chicago that really changed my mind on the song.WtOB? wrote:i like em both!harmless wrote:Even now we have Sirens?
