Hate it. The last time I ate at one was in Amarillo at 6 a.m. after driving 24 hours straight from Bakersfield. They are all dirty and nasty.

My family and I used to go on a lot of road trips and we ate at a lot of Waffle Houses along the way. I loved them at the time, but I was pretty young at the time. Living in Michigan I never really get the opportunity to go back, but that's probably good. No need to ruin the memory.

Had the best chicken wings of my life at this little place in NYC last weekend. Almost no signage but the place was packed.

Just had the best bahn mi I've ever had in my life. The place is inside an Asian supermarket, and next to an awesome bubble tea place and a Korean bakery, all of which were patronized as well. I'm in food heaven right now.

this isn't a place i discovered, but it's in my old neighborhood i grew up in, and have gone there a couple times with one of my sisters when i'd come here to visit.
great little menu of standard bar type food like really well made hamburgers and specialty sandwiches. and a nice selection of true entrees, but not an overwhelming variety.

went there tonight for dinner and got a hamburger with applewood bacon, a bleu cheese pate of sorts on it, and tomato and lettuce - along with some not overly greasy fries. was great.
my sister says they do a fantastic fish fry during lent as well but i've never had it.

It was described as sweet and I wanted spicy. Don't judge me.
