"I Don't Know" makes it onto quite a few playlists for me.

Man I hate that we'll never get new stuff from them.

They would have been such fun old men. An album from this trio in their 60s would have been the best thing ever.

yeah, i agree.
I want more music from the two guys we have left. Its a shame they dont feel compelled to make more music.

I'd rather see them do something for hip hop like The Voice. Imagine Mike and Adam on tv weekly coaching young artists. It'd be so much fun to see them making tracks and possibly passing the torch to some new talented Jews.

randomly thought of this today: What are your favorite lines by each member where they reference their own name? Soooooo many to choose from. Off the top of my head I got:
"A, D-R-O-C-K, I use a microphone like Picasso use clay"
"Born and bred Brooklyn, USA, they call me Adam Yauch but I'm MCA, I'm like a lemon to a lime, a lime to a lemon, I sip the def ale with all the fly women"
"Running from the law, the press and the parents, is your name Michael Diamond? nah mine's Clarence"

If you love that one, don't sleep on "Twenty Questions" from the Anthology. Another great Yauch/Miho duet.

Yauch and late-90's era Thurston Moore have similar vocal deliveries on those tracks.

Opposite reaction here. I'm very interested in the Beastie Boys and so I'm sure I'll still enjoy it, but the excerpt you shared sounds like it'll be standard-issue "we did this, and then this happened, and then another thing happened". Not sure why I was expecting something meatier, but my enthusiasm is a little dampened

I don't want to be an LV but this band does zero for me these days. There was a time when I enjoyed lot's of their shit. Maybe I should listen to some remasters on headphones.
