Exactly, but I think it's kind of weird that people are so upset by the comments. They're not even that out of line. Dave Grohl and Noel Gallagher and hundreds of other rock dudes make similar comments all the time, about music they feel strongly about. Why is everyone so up in arms about Kanye? I feel like I'm missing something.
his comments implied that Beck isn't a real artist nor deserving of award, which is dumb to say and just lacks perspective.

I don't even like Beyonce, so I disagree with his comments. But I think the level of outrage and attention this has sparked is really silly.

Kanye West doesn't care about Beck people!

he's papparazzi/tabloid fodder. It just feeds itself. No one (except Kanye) cares who won a grammy; they only want to read about the "shocking" thing that happened, and this was the best that the bloggers could come up with.

This is nothing compared to the first time, though. It will be forgotten by tomorrow.

I think it's amplified because he has done it before, people don't react well to gifted people that aren't humble, and old white people are squares.

Has it sparked that much outrage? It seems pretty tepid compared to the Taylor Swift thing, for example.

But other than that, it's hard for me to really care one way or the other. A really good album upset another really good album. People who try to turn it into Steely Dan beating Kid A I think are taking it a bit far.

I listen to a lot of hip hop, but as soon as I denounce a man for doing something stupid, it has to be due to racism? Is the black guy who called him out through a tweet an Uncle Tom? Fuck outtahere.

Upon intial contact with Kaius, I had envisioned him to be an ill-mannered and psychologically unstable man with an extremely uneducated and barbaric frame of mind, whose posts displayed nothing but ridiculous jargon, shocking sexual audacity, and repulsive images of the ghetto. However, after further analysis of his posts, I can deduce that he is the epitome of antidisestblishmentarianism, who embodies the entire spectrum of the urban experience and struggle. But to make things more plain and simple to the layman, I find Kaius to be the dopest, flyest, O.G. pimp hustler gangster player hardcore motherfucker living today. To be honest, I am totally and irrevocably on his dick.
