There is no Isbell I don't like but Southeastern & Something More Than Free will go down as his masterpieces cause they are so raw.

I think the last 400 Unit is my favorite Isbell record but SMTF is a really close second.

I just figured out that you can listen to a sample or buy an .mp3 of Overseas from several of his shows this past fall. The song is believed to be on the new album. Apparently he and Amanda debuted a few others a few days ago when they played as a duo at the Disney Concert Hall.

Just saw him again last night. Such a great performer. How is this guy not bigger? Hoping he does some more acoustic shows soon. Would love to see that. Sadler Vaden has really got so much better as a guitar player too.

I've seen him a few times live. Never paid that much, but it is a pretty great show.
