His rig also sounds awful like he maybe forgot some pedals.
He was also probably really leaning into the H around this time
he was certainly leaning

I didn't think McCready was ever actually into heroin.

I thought it was rampant alcoholism and cocaine.

Could be, I always assumed it was heroin due to his friendship with Layne
never heard or read about Mike doing H.

Didn't Mike say in the book or in the movie he did heroin?

he never did. It was alcohol and cocaine. And in 2000 it was pills.

Yeah, it's that spitty-farty sound like when the batteries die in your guitar pedal. And it appears intermittently throughout the show too. Horrible.

The poor quality of the "new" songs and the general sloppiness reminds one of a more recent show than something from the Dave A era. Maybe that's why they chose it? LOL

I would support this idea, but if only if the fans were Spenno, Wendy Carlos's Twin, ridleybradout, and lowlight.

Or me, as this would be the quickest way to expedite the comprehensive box set of Jack Irons-era material I've been dreaming of since the early 2000's.

I mean I could get together a pretty strong list of 9 potential vault shows. I am sure there would be plenty of argument all around. I do agree with Pearl Jam’s selection of the ‘07 vault release from the Vic. That was a great choice. And working this list specifically from what has not been released yet in any form (so excluding the 92 NYE show, the Atlanta 94 show, etc)...

3/6/92 Rotterdam
6/18/92 Zurich
5/13/93 San Francisco
8/14/93 Gimli, Manitoba
4/17/94 New York
3/17/95 Melbourne
6/20/95 Red Rocks
9/29/96 New York
9/11/98 New York

The Vic is an okay show -- it's fun, the band is generally pretty on, the setlist is certainly great, but even it is sloppy in places. For my tastes it's about as loose as a show can get while still being worthy of consideration for this kind of release.

Soldier Field and the two '98 shows are strong releases. I remember liking Vegas '93 back when it was released as mp3, but I never bought the Vault version. The '91-'93-era shows are kind of one-and-done listens for me, I don't really find myself compelled to revisit them like some later shows.

This new one is easily my least favorite of all the vault shows, and we waited so fucking long for it. These guys really know how to deliver. :finger:

Severely lacking a No Code show. Those bastards could at least give us an incomplete one.

I don't know, the band and I seem to be at odds on what there best material is. I go for many different things. The band seems to throw out how they played or sounded out the window and go with emotion, Intensity and the importance of the show. Even the live Vitalogy 25th anniversary playback on PJ radio left me scratching my head.
