Are they even sure how this spreads? I read that it isn't airborne, but if it's as bad as it's starting to look like in China, it might be.

And the infection rates of people returning to there own countries is very high.

Even while I lived in Florida for 15 years, I never once prepped for a disaster. This is the first time in my life I've properly prepped food, water, and other essentials. I'm not really worried about deaths (although, that's going to be an issue). My main concern is if/when the public panics, the masses rushing to the store to prep will be unlike anything we've seen. I can't imagine those types of lines and the food and water shortages we might see at the stores. Getting to the doctors could be a problem too, so I've made sure my wife fills her prescriptions.

My goal is just making sure we could get through 2 weeks minimum without needing to leave the house. Beyond that who knows what may happen, but at least I tried!

Just bought a chest freezer (planned anyway), filled it, bought about 3L of hand sanitiser, 10 x N95 masks and 3 dozen surgical masks. Updated our medicine cabinet too.

If nothing else it could trigger a big recession or worse. China was wobbly before this. Their big holiday season was basically cancelled in many regions.

what’s more likely:

- dying from coronavirus

or

- dying in a car accident on the way to the store to buy survival supplies
- eating pounds of inorganic rice and dying of cancer from agrichemicals (rice is one thing that organic is a must)
- accidentally or intentionally being shot with your survival gun
- being involuntarily quarantined bc you are walking around with a mask and mistaken for a chinese

I’ve a really bad chest infection and did loads of flights day before yesterday. Me coughing constantly and only person on the plane last flight without a mask was me.
