Finally framed my Atlanta '98 poster yesterday, and realized that Mudhoney has opened literally 30% of the Pearl Jam shows I've seen. Not that they're bad, but enough's enough. Honestly, at this point, I'd almost rather have a Toronto '09 PJ fuck-around as the opener.
/almost don't want an opener, only because I'm probably going to have to drive back to Atlanta after the show

the same guy said he is seeing mudhoney tonight in Raleigh and they have only sold 10 tickets to the show, thats just crazy
i dont really care who it is but i would like there to be an opener just so my ears dont have to adjust during the first few songs from PJ
I really doubt it will be KoL. The idea of having a localish band open is appealing.

now that it is under a month until the first show of the tour, is there still a possibility that they announce an opener or is it actually gonna be a whole tour of an evening with PJ?

2010 2008 with Ted Leo at our shows? Seems like we didn't know he would be there until a few weeks prior to the show.

Well, I'm thinking that's what happened...
Either way, I love having openers for PJ, especially when it's a band I've never heard of.

Well, I'm thinking that's what happened...
Either way, I love having openers for PJ, especially when it's a band I've never heard of.
i just need something to get my ears used to the volume, its always a plus when i like the band, but im not sure i will like not having a warm up before PJ is on stage

probably, but the getting used to it isnt because it will hurt my ears, but at that volume usually it will sound distorted until my ears adjust

I'm not looking at it as a competition though. I think it will just be fun to go out with some fellow RMer's outside of a PJ concert and toss some discs and shoot the sh*t.
