You should be less jazzed and more grunged about it.

I can't decide whether it's worth getting the boxset or the 2CD version and the DVD separately (which is substantially cheaper). I'd really like the live CD from the boxset but there are (*cough*) ways around that.

In my experience, SSD pre-orders tend to arrive on the release day or occasionally the day after. I've pre-ordered 4 different records from them recently (although not this one!), so hopefully this still remains the case!

Thanks for the info.
I also have the MGMT coming from them.

Are you on Blu Ray yet? I'd hold off until the Blu Ray came out. Unless you can get that with the set as well.
I'm torn between the vinyl or the whole CD package.

It's actually out in Australia today, you'd think someone would've got a hold of it and ripped it by now.

Has it been confirmed yet what's exactly on the Blu Ray? Like, is it the whole package?
In any case, though I finally got around to buying a decent TV and a Blu Ray player a year ago or so, I'm not really equipped to play audio through it as of yet (unless it's through the TV and that's kind of a waste of time).
I might swing past a store today and have a look at the options, see if I'm tempted one way or another.

For anyone interested, I've seen waveforms and this thing looks like it's going to sound great. Not brickwalled at all (see: Nevermind reissue). So glad Albini took the reigns on this thing.

Just bought the 2CD reissue and DVD (as well as the Mad Season reissue as it was only $15), really looking forward to listening later.

I'm streaming it on Spotify. The new mixes are really good and the outtakes are really interesting. Mainly instrumental jams which is cool. I like how they pretty much had a lot of the arrangements down before they even had vocals.

This whole thing is the fucking tits.
What an incredible treat. Great content presented with real care and thoughtfulness. They really knocked this release out of the park.

Man, this band really mean the world to me.
The Live N Loud soundcheck/rehearsal is an absolute blast to watch.

They were my first love and I'm looking forward to reconnecting with them on this. I refused to buy the huge box set but I'm definitely getting the 2CD and the DVD.

Good call, I really don't feel like I'm missing out on much at all by skipping the box in favour of the CDs and DVD.
Certainly my first real musical love too. I can honestly say I can't imagine my live without Nirvana.

Albini did a fantastic job on this. The remaster is well done, and the 2013 mix sounds great. This is what the Nevermind deluxe should have been.

I like Albini and I like his 2013 mix but I think I prefer the standard mix.
