I was surprised to see in the credits that Yvette Young played guitar on the movie's score. Very cool.

Oh, by the way, there's a mid credits and a post credits scene but neither is worth sticking around for. If you're pressed for time, you can leave knowing you won't miss anything.

There’s no need to change it and it’ll fail for meif it’s not in there.
I have good news for you.

Gunn really understands Supes circa 80s and 90sand the cartoons too.

It was refreshing to be in this world, full of color, action, superheros and villains with no need of explaining more. He was very smart not to do another fucking origin story.

Everyone in the cast was superb really, i had so much fun.

Cant wait for Supergirl.
Yes. You dropped right into the middle at full speed. Gunn was confident that in 2025, people didn't need a bunch of backstory on Lex Luthor's motivations. After thinking about it, I think what makes the whole movie work so well is that the audience isn't treated to omniscience. The script only does exposition as either Superman or Lois Lane figures something out.

On a completely other note--how much conscious restraint does it take for Superman to smooch someone without caving in their face?

He talks about it in one of the comics, yeah he is always super conscious about it.

I loved Guy, Hawkgirl and Mr Terrific. Metamorpho had less screen time but it was very well used. Hell, even Cat Grant seemed right out from the comics.

Gunn knows its source.

Gotta say not going with a capital B on that name certainly changes the question.

I kind of wonder if the end end credits scene is setting up some kind of thing where the rift wasn't completely closed so they have something to do in the next movie.

My initial thought before the dialogue was “the universe wasn’t realigned perfectly” was going to be the point instead of lighthearted banter

I wasn't wild about the comic. I found the dialogue pretentious but that's Tom King. I could see a movie adaption working though.

I loved it. Specially because it gave Supergirl a lot to deal with, a personality.

This surprisingly sucks balls. Don't care for whiny idiot zoomer Superman at all. Lame humor. What a tedious mess.

4/10
