Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

Also Bully dropped a couple of new songs the other day. I like both of them. Though, neither are as strong (to me) as anything from her last record. Definitely worth giving a listen, though, for sure.

Curious.
The National is a top 10 band for me
Doves a top 20 prob

both are very good and part of my life

there's another one out too, "Lovers' Leap"
Finally gave Lovers' Leap a go. Another stone cold banger! I'm really looking forward to this new album. Exciting!

my fav album of the year so far, similar to the fuzzed out alt-country thing that Wednesday has been doing but with a greater focus on melody

other favorites are the Friko debut (indie rock for wimps) and the new Grandaddy (i love Grandaddy). the Laetitia Sadier album is good too as one would expect from her

I love Grandaddy and enjoyed my first listen to the new album but found it a little samey. But I'll keep listening and I'm sure it'll grab me

I like it. a lot of bands seem to be leaning into the alt-country thing. i'm not mad about. also, lol at that description of Friko. I like a few songs on that album. i guess i'm a wimp.

it's certainly a bit samey, probably their most low-key release yet but there is something about the atmosphere that really grabs me, i think it's just a very nice and comfy sound for an aging rock band

Mainly poking fun at myself there, I thought Friko was great! Saw it get compared with Arcade Fire and Bright Eyes, both artists that I do not like, but the noisiness (and other 00s indie rock influences that I'm more into) makes it work for me.

I definitely like the alt-country thing going on with indie rock bands as well, especially because the other big thing right now seems to be extremely artsy uk post-punk, which is good too but less my thing personally.

I just don't understand why he chose to release it as a Grandaddy album instead of a Jason Lytle album, which it effectively is

I have downloaded the new Faye Webster and what I think is the band chewn posted above (can't be sure because there's no band name listed but I found a song called Going For Oysters). Looking forward to both records.
