Ok, this will obviously be way wrong, but I took 10 mins to guess what might be played on the final night of Ohana.... here's what I came up with. I'm guessing I am missing a rarity or two... hopefully a song from Riot Act or Avocado I'm not thinking of (not Big Wave, please?!?).

What are your guesses? Here's mind.

1. Oceans
2. Small Town or Nothingman
3. GTF
4. Animal
5. React
6. Wreckage
7. Daughter
8. Dark Matter
9. Upper Hand
10. E Flo
11. Unitltled
12. Present Tense
13. Corduroy
14. Won't Tell
15. B'Man
16. Running
17. RVM
18. Top of the World (or Wildflowers)
19. Just Breathe
20. Unthought
21. Smile
22. Something Special
23. Black
24. Set Sun
25. RITFW

If they're going for beach friendly songs, then Big Wave is one of the better options.

Fair enough, but not a big fan of that one and, here in CA, we've heard that one enough (for me, anyhow).

I’m assuming he won’t be able to leave the country to tour Australia, but just watch.

Whale Song and Got To Give now on equal play count footing. Unbelievable.

Kinda funny that for an environmental fundraiser, the post concert grounds at Ohana are so littered with discarded plastic cups and Kona cans that you can hardly even see the grass.

Why dont they just start writing songs in that range? rather than the tune downs? (which i'm not opposed to and there are a bunch of songs it actually helps and elevates)

But if you know youre going to have to drop it on the road, why not just record it like that in the first place?
quit making so much sense!

If they think it sounds better in a specific (this case, higher) tone, why would they change its recording considering something that maybe not even happen (Gigaton 2020 tour for example)?

No problem changing tunes on the road - for those who dont like, there will be always the original album record to go back. For those who like, great now you have two versions of the song to enjoy.

Record decisions for a band like PJ shouldn't be taken thinking how it will sound after their 40th show on the road or in a YouTube fanmade live video. Well they did this in the past and we had the experimental 7 minute version of The Fixer cutted to a pop 3 minute song because then they "would be able to play more times live". Thats the decision a newbie band should take, not a band as consolidated as PJ.

Anyway, Whale Song sounds great, Detuned Waiting For Stevie not sound bad and Detuned Amongst The Waves sounded weird (thankgod they didnt record like this in Backspacer if they know 15 years later Ed couldnt be singing in standard tune)

Ed popped up with Black Pumas for an acoustic “Dock Of The Bay”.
Pretty damn good.

Another blast from the past. Wore out the ‘93 version with Cropper.

Ohana PJ is the coolest PJ.
