Re: Sleeping By Myself (Pearl Jam)
This tune was my favorite on the Ukulele Songs (together with 'Longing to Belong').
I am happy that the band version is not so different, at the moment can't decide if i like it more than the original.
The end of this album, SBM, YM & FD, melodically, is very pretty to me.

This song is fucking lovely. It's like the best cheese. It's like aged Mimolette.

Re: Sleeping By Myself (Pearl Jam)
Seriously. I rated it 3 stars but I feel like that needs to be explained. Pendulum is my favorite song on the album and that only got 4 stars. So I've graded everything else relative to that. I don't want to give this a 4 star ranking and then have rated the same as 4 star songs from the better albums.

I feel as if it's time you started grading PJ on a curve. They're at a lower point in general than they were pre-Riot Act. We agree on that. So you know, set your criteria, and just give this song that 4th star it wants. It's like ripping off a band-aid, it'll only hurt for a second.cutuphalfdead wrote:Seriously. So there are at least 5 3-4 stars song on this record for you? That has to be quite the success for modern day Pearl Jam!cutuphalfdead wrote:Seriously. this song is much better than I expected it to be. I wasn't bothered by it being on the record, but I find I'm enjoying it more than the original.

"Hey that didn't suck nearly as much as I expected". 2 stars. I'd give it 2.5 but that doesn't exist.

The guitar chord that accompanies "...and I believe in nothing..." is GORGEOUS. Guitarists, what is it?
