Luckily, Boston accents have a long history of being accurate and not over-exaggerated in film, so I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Somehow the guy from Paraguay looks like an even more difficult person than carol.

We were watching something the other night where characters started speaking Spanish and I started wondering if you’d seen it and what you thought of it. Wish I could remember what it was.
Probably. Jorge has seen everything that has Spanish speaking in it
I suspected as much

Luckily, southern accents have a long history of being accurate and not over-exaggerated in film.

Listening to the official Pluribus insider podcast, apparently the character is supposed to be Colombian!

It makes the suspension of disbelief a little hard. My only comparison is when something is set in Buffalo, but people either have a general NYC accent or like in the case of Buffaloed, I had to listen Zoey Deutch do a Chicago accent and call everyone a "jagoff" because she "recorded conversations in a coffee shop in Buffalo" when that is not a Buffalo thing at all.
The thing is this is more than just a slight regional difference; Paraguayan Spanish is extremely distinctive, almost a different language. So when I thought the character was supposed to be Paraguayan but sounds so clearly Colombian it took me out a little

the Japanese genre for girls-loving-girls, originating in anime, is called "Yuri"; if it's men-loving-men, it's "Yaoi" (my trans boyfriend is a Yaoi officionado); we just scream "Yaoi" whenever we see lesbians on screen (and people are shipping Carol and Zosia apparently!)

Shipping Carol and Zosia is kinda messed up in the context of this show!

It’s more or less that if you sleep with Zosia, you sleep with everyone else on the planet

I think if Carol is certain that the Pluribusing is reversible (and it sounds like she does think so) then she would probably equate getting physical with a Pluribused Zosia to rape, as the actual individual body can't really consent

that's true

I half wonder if Carol can free Zosia from the Hive so they can drive off into the sunset together, siren wailing

I can’t fault the guy in Vegas for living the way he is. How would you do it?

I think for me there would be two keys:
1) The pretenders need to stay in character around me at all times. I don’t ever want to see behind the curtain. Those images of everyone cleaning up after the gambling scene were unsettling.
2) The world needs to bustle around me. I’m not waiting in lines or at stoplights anymore, but the world feels alive.

Assuming they aren’t among the dead…
I’m attending sold out concerts frequently. I don’t write the setlists, but neither does Eddie.
I’m regularly playing pickleball with the body of my best friend and ping pong with my lunch friends.
I’m traveling the world by day with the bodies of my family and friends. The Cena cameo made me realize that the voice is enough for me to suspend disbelief.
By night, I’m alone or with the bodies of an actress or a woman I knew or a woman I saw that day. Not my wife. I’ll never pretend at love. Pure hedonism.
The travel and adventures will be disrupted by periods of gaming and binge-watching tv.
I’ll still work out regularly. I think that’s my weirdest realization.

If/when it gets boring, I’ll ask for heroin.
