That's fair. Alvarez said the same, but I wasn't sure if that was just cope.

Agreed on the lack of Eye speech being an egregious slap in the face. He at least should've said "Rosebud," winked, and then walked offscreen.

I have one episode left to go, and all I can say is - This series fucks!
I was dubious given where the Alien mythos has gone in the past, but for me - this show is getting everything right.

I enjoyed the series overall. The finale was great. Calling it a "cliffhanger" feels misleading.
The only episode that felt like a complete waste of time was the "flashback" in the middle. Episode 5? I think?

It started somehow strong but it quickly faded into a very messy TV series.
I dont need another season.

The only song that "Fucking monster energy drink bullshit" could possibly apply to is the Godsmack one.
Unc seems like a bit of a douche, not gonna lie.

Finally got the chance to watch this. Overall I enjoyed it, but it’s not great. I watched it mostly on flights and I feel like it was significantly aided by the fact that my only other choice was staring at the back of a seat. As with Romulus I love the melding of the chunky 70s era version of the future with a more modern take, and most of the cast is great, especially the WY cyborg dude and Olyphant.
But my god does this rely on incredible levels of stupidity from characters who are constantly touted as having incredible levels of intelligence. One plot point after another hinges on people making ludicrous decisions for no reason. Of course the series overall has a history of that, but it’s usually one or two instances of it in order to get the story going, not one after another (after another) for 8 hours.
Laughed out loud at “this elevator will self destruct in 30 seconds,” not enough elevators have buttons that will cause them to blow up and I’m glad this series is shedding light on that fact. The closing music for each episode ranges from pointless-but-fine to truly baffling (cherub rock???).

To be fair, Wendy made the elevator say that. It probably wasn't going to explode.

I guess my issue is with the credulity of the characters who heard it, and the fact that it was unintentionally wacky. And speaking of unintentional wackiness, loved the Finding Dory hijinks between the eyeball thing and the flying things

That eyeball thing was probably the best part of the show

Three episodes in and I think it is hitting its stride. Olyphant is stupendous but this might be the most irritating collective of characters I have ever encountered, I get that is entirely the point with some being practically children but it felt a bit drawn out.
The final music choices do not bother me though the lack of Xenomorphs is beginning to.
