And when you think about, that takes a lot of talent. Just think if you were given an assignment to write a rock song about rayon. No good. No good.

Eddie is a genius.
And then Stone fucked it all up. All the man had to do was grab an ebow.

It's not that serious. I'm just playing into a joke here.

But you should watch it. There's a real goofy kind of tension for next to no reason.

this has merit, but i would flip hail, hail and all night b/c you need to keep that blaring shotgun blast of hail, hail coming out of sometimes.

I agree. Hearing one without the other is always jarring.

Found a new copy of No Code today at the record store, something I've been looking for for a long time.

You can't take Around The Bend off of No Code. You just can't.

Just realised today, this record is closets to that 70's, NY, the Band kind of vibe. It's loose and warm. they're never going to get this again on a record. You'd miss Jack.

I think it's possible, if they move away from what "Pearl Jam" is supposed to be. There are other examples of hitting that vibe, like "Drifting" and even some Into The Wild songs. But it seems lately, when they are together as a whole, there's just too much fixin' going on. For instance, "Just Breathe" could have been a totally different type of song and nailed that type of vibe (Willie Nelson), they just Pearl Jammed it too much

Sometimes & Hail, Hail can't be separated. Nor can Red Mosquito, Lukin, Present Tense.

I didn't like NC when it was new, but started to dig it after Yield. It's still growing on me, but this makes a better album in my mind:

Sometimes
Hail Hail
In My Tree
Smile
Habit (wish there was a longer jam before the fade out)
Off He Goes
Red Mosquito
Lukin
Present Tense
Who You Are

Who You Are works better as the closer. I never liked the placement of it back to back with In My Tree.
