But if they fired Tim Bierman it would be okay because he is incompetent.

K, good.

PJ hires their friends and it doesnt work because in the end, they have no fucking clue what they are doing. Clearly Ricky has fucked up enough times over the past few years that he finally lost his job.

I hate this thread. And I just hate that i put down an emotional post.

How's everyone?

You don't berate employees like that in front of people. You take that shit backstage. If they aren't working out, you find someone else, but you don't treat them like shit just because you pay them.

um i feel like I am 10 years old and just walked in on my parents fighting.... so to the internal RM haterade portion of this thread I will simply reply: "uh, ok" (beavis and butthead style)

Re the guitar tech portion: being on smack wouldn't excuse anything ... I think Ed has shown he actually has tremendous patience... based on what it sounds like went down at LA 1 with that non-hot arm flabber elbowing people in GA, he could have easily kicked that person out, but instead just let her sit somewhere else.... it looks like there maybe be a frictional back story with this guitar tech ... maybe LA 2 was just the straw that broke the camel's back

I mean, certain people I've known for 17 years shit can go from zero to nuclear in like 10 seconds because you are sooo familiar... (take this message board for example) if there's some long standing issue, in particular substance related, that just isn't getting resolved, and that person's behavior keeps negatively affecting your life, it does reach a point where you can just be like "ok fuck this, this is over, peace out"...

i would probably also think that tour fatigue must also have some type of affect too ... its gotta be fucking exhausting to play this many shows for that long that many times in a row...

a: we're assuming he is drugged out. There is absolutely no proof he was, and he looked fine. Maybe he just grabbed the wrong guitar.
b: I'm sure these little tours are just exhausting, (and yes, I'm rolling my eyes as hard as I can.)
c: I don't care if this guy has won the prize for The World's Shittiest Roadie 15 years in a row. Doesn't matter. Acting like a child and saying "pick up this guitar off the floor, bitch" or hilariously spraying wine all over the floor is fucking low class. Maybe he was just in character or whatever he is during a show, maybe he snapped. It happens, but it doesn't make it ok. Ed had no class.
d: there is a right way to fire someone. That wasn't it.
e: He's not the first guy to complain about working for Ed, but as rockstars go, its probably par for the course.

and (not directed at you) don't even try to pull out some shit about "we all just love to hate Eddie" because two nights ago everyone here was completely on his side when he threw that dumbass out of the crowd. Any sane human could look at that vid and instantly tell he was being a douchebag.

It doesn't seem like that big a deal. I've seen a berating when a gig has been stopped to tear shreds off the monitors guy in front of 2,000 people. Throwing gear out of the way mid song onstage so it doesn't interfere with your performance and the roadie having to pick it up is no biggie.

agreed on (a), that was just speculation bc someone else had said there may be substance abuse issues in the past. (side note though: what is Save You actually about though?)
agreed on (b)
(c) yes, that reaction did appear to conflict with Ed's One Love persona that has otherwise been consistently promulgated ... as far as no class, sure; did you see the shirt he wore to his wedding? (bada boom). but seriously, I think part of the long-standing PJ fan core rage that is out there stems from frustration with Ed's increasing douchiness, which has been rising over a multi-year period, and has been displayed on numerous occasions... this latest instance of Manopause is just another in the series... albeit a pretty extreme one.
(d) technically the firing probably occurred after the show was over. but maybe the tech was actually laid off years ago, so it was just a matter for Ten Club LLC to just "fix the glitch".
(e) agreed

Def it's not about loving to hate Eddie.. that flabby bitch seemed to deserve what she got at LA 1 ... the span of contortions on Ed's face through this LA 2 Sirens episode was disturbing ... you have the nanny-nanny-poo-poo pull away of the guitar neck, into the I'm not even going to look you in the face while I take this off move, into the maybe I will just drop this thing onto the ground like an 8-year old move, to the eery vanity smile as he returns to face the hoards of mindless followers

it's evolution baby
