I think Joey cares, Annie, and he's bigger than all of us!

I care, but not in the way she means that God cares. :li:

So, Stipopolous, for this mix, are you wanting all new stuff? Stuff you've never (or barely) heard? Or would you prefer I pepper in some stuff I know you like? Like Rattlesnake and Paris is Burning?

I want you to make me an 'at the end of this mix I will be a fully committed Annie Clark fan' mix. If you think a track or two to anchor it makes sense then go for it, but it's not necessary.

Okay, okay. A lot of pressure, but I'll give it a go. I'm going to try not to over think it (any more than I already have). Hopefully, I'll have something for you in a couple of days.

basically I have no expectations. But she's a hit or miss artist that some people I respect go nuts for, and I've found what i've heard so far intriguing. So figure out how to make me a fan :)

Sounds good. I'll put together a great mix of songs that made me a fan, avoiding the Bring Me Your Loves of that group. And maybe sprinkle some Stipcific jams as well.

I have a playlist for you. But I just realized I have no idea how to actually share it with you.... :?

And with a little help from our mutual friend (Peter N. Clark), I have sent your custom designed playlist to your email account, Stip. Please let me know if you have any questions. Or if you'd like me to share in a LAL session with said playlist.

:peace:

And seriously, thank you so much, Chud. You're super awesome.

Thanks!

Your approval on this means a lot. I know how big of a fan you are.

I didn't want to include any of the new album since Stip has heard it. I think I hit all of my high points from the first three, with a focus on what I think Stip might respond to. Hopefully he digs it.

Not a big fan of Marrow, but great beginning sequence, and perfect ender. Nothing beats the debut album stuff, And you grabbed the best off it. I'd have added a cover of These Days. Beautifully delicate version of one of the greatest songs ever written. Vulnerable Annie is a rare occasion, but she sounds like she's a moment away from falling apart. It's a b-side off Paris Is Burning, I believe.

:nice:

I'll have to check that out. I don't have any of her non album stuff.
Marrow is one of my personal favorites. I have a feeling Stip well be more in your camp with that one. But I had to try.
