the guy has avoided gouging the bands he’s produced his entire career, he’s about as ethical and transparent in his business practices as it gets, and he’s suddenly going to be on the take? why?

i don't know why i took the bait on this hypothetical other than self-hatred. but i'm halfway in, so i'll continue.
i'm assuming part of bodysnatcher's claim is that the strictures on efficacy in political office are mostly if not entirely a function of lobbyists and their benefactors. i agree. steve agrees. steve hasn't run for office and likely wouldn't because of this fact we all agree on. so why make the piercingly stupid hypothetical?
