It's okay, I'm painfully aware of it.
I don't know, it was kind of an underwhelming year for me (both musically and otherwise). I listened to a bunch of stuff but not much really made a deep impression - at least with respect to new releases. I'll hopefully inadvertently stumble onto all the great things I missed this year at some point over the next few years/decades.

I mean, HONESTLY: Atoms for Peace, Flaming Lips, Monster fucking Magnet.
It's all just...perfunctory. Mere place-filling.

Definitely a sentimental choice but I'll stand by the inclusion of that one.
I don't think it was the best album released last year by any means but nothing else was quite as meaningful to me as that record was.

I don't know, I just think I have terrible taste in music - but hey, what are you going to do?
It could certainly be worse, granted.

Everyone has terrible taste. I'm just going to point it out every time I get a chance to do so.

I don't get much enjoyment from assigning scores and rankings and I don't believe that good records necessarily come in round numbers, so, no, we haven't.

What if you were to let us know which albums you enjoyed most in 2013 without assigning numerical scores or a ranking to that group?

I've been doing that in the 2013 thread all year long. Hell I even posted a list.
