Yeah Into Your Shtik I know. But Mark Arm was a junkie for a while, so it's not like he had no experience with self-destructing.

There's nothing that I can think of off the top of my head. Mark Arm was always far less self-absorbed than his contemporaries when it came to writing lyrics - even when he wrote about himself, he always wrote about feeling alienated from other people who weren't as cool / were weirder / weren't as weird / etc as him. In fact, I swear to god he's written more songs in the 2nd person than anybody else I can think of.
