i like the eponymous St. Vincent but man, that octaver obsession is a bit too much for my taste. when the last song arrives, the fact that it's mostly devoid of this effect is such a relief.

I wonder if Taylor Swift would have become as big as she has if Kayne didn't interrupt her.

I don't know, right before Kanye interrupted her she had just won Best Female Video of the year so I'd say she was already well on her way.
