The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates are probably my two personal favorites. Punch Drunk Love is a really nice film (but that has very little to do with Sandler and I wish someone else had starred in it). The Waterboy is also a lot of fun. All of those are top shelf Sandler movies. Oh! And also Mixed Nuts. I love Mixed Nuts.
Spanglish, The Longest Yard, Little Nicky, Big Daddy, Deuce Bigalow, Dirty Work... these are all terrible movies.
See, I remember liking Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore a lot too, from my childhood. But I watched them recently and they're... no. They're aggressively unfunny.
In all fairness, I haven't seen either of those movies in at least a decade. So... I'm willing to believe you here.
no, he's wrong
Can we all agree that Little Nicky is a disaster?
I used to loooove that one too. I felt really in-the-know, explaining the Ozzy Osbourne cameo to my parents.

Waterboy is way better than Big Daddy. The kid was awful.

I'm going by memory here, it's been a long time since I've seen either. I just remember Big Daddy having a certain charm to it.

Big Daddy is a middling transitional effort. It doesn't really work.

Wait, "decade-and-a-half-long?"

Wait, "decade-and-a-half-long?"
I just assumed you were a preteen when you... you know... stalled.

Wait, I think I liked "Just Go With It" also, but that is probably because Nicole Kidman was in it.

No, my Sandler love developed relatively recently.

Again, it was just because Kidman was in a bathing suit.
