Is that the aussie?

Yep. Really intriguing player. Certainly has not looked like a rugby guy trying to make the NFL. It looks like we're rolling with Michael from the Seahawks, at least the pick was a 7th.

I just love the way he runs in the open field. That's why I think he could be good on the Cowboys with this line, he won't be hit in the backfield a bunch. If they could teach him to run behind zone blocking especially, he could be a terror.

interestingly enough, the league could easily prove all this occurred.... but they supposedly destroyed the evidence.

All of what? There's nothing new that has been substantiated, here.

yeah I think the bigger story is they clearly went after the Patriots and Brady harder on deflategate because of spygate. How Goodell is still the Commissioner is beyond me.

Get killed in Federal court on Deflategate, so let's switch the dialogue and (outrage!!!) back to Spygate. The NFL vs. Pats PR War continues.

What's worse is Deflategate might as well strengthened Goodell with the league. The owners loved the fact that Goodell went so hard at Brady and the Pats. What's worse than that is everyone talked about protecting the NFL shield and yet, the owners wanted to railroad the Pats because they think they may have cheated beyond Spygate and/or were not punished hard enough.

I certainly have ZERO interest in watching/reading anything on ESPN. And what really makes me upset is I am kind of over the NFL as well. Once a week I read a story about a coach, player, or owner beating somebody up, driving drunk, taking PEDs, harassing fans, being a general lousy human-being. This is getting old really quickly.

That's what I was speaking too. Originally it was reported they were videotaping signals. Obviously it was a lot more indepth than that, but the league destroyed the evidence apparently and it's fairly conveinient the timing of this story.

Consider his treatment of the Saints franchise. They lost their coach for a year and it cost a few guys careers.

He's been the opposite of consistent with discipline and I don't remember other commissioners being this universally disliked.

Do we have any football & hockey experts that can compare Goodell to Gary Bettman?

For all of the things you can criticize Bettman for (and I do), he has helped bring some good things to the game: salary cap, draft lottery (even if the format sucked until they finally fixed it for next year), increased interest, TV deals worth way more money than the league ever really should've been entitled to...I think the biggest thing honestly with Bettman (aside from the work stoppages) is the grudge long time fans hold against him for his expansion and relocation choices and how he screwed over Canadian markets for almost 20 years

I can't name anything good Goodell has done in his tenure...I mean everything he's touched has been bungled in some way shape or form.

People say he has made the owners millions or rather billions (collectively). However, I would think anyone who can fog a mirror could do the same as Rog.

I'd like to remind everyone that Roger Goodell could be a shitlord AND the Patriots could be terrible cheaters. It's a true win-win!

I'd argue that someone competent would have made even more money in the same time frame, without embarrassing the league every 3 months
