Also psyched on Baroness. How's that Kamasi Washington record? I took one cursory listen and it just reminded me of updated Herbie Hancock. I like a lot of the Brainfeeder stuff, but I wasn't sold after my one listen.
I like it, but I'm not a Jazz expert by any stretch so comparing it to classics would be hard for me. I got it when i just started a very long commute in traffic and it was great to put on and listen to for over an hour at a time. It just hit a nerve with me.

I want to listen to this one a couple more times. I really like his other stuff but this one just did not sink in with me. I'm going to give it another shot

Sprained Ankle, the album from Julien Baker is pretty nice.
Lots of cool acoustic songs.

I've been listening to the Jim O'Rourke album. Friends with benefits is an amazing song.

I think I listened to Lord Huron and Alabama Shakes.... and that's it.
Then the typical rotation of stuff from years past. Kids man, time-suckers...

That sounds awful. You should get rid of them.

I'm happy to report I found a bunch of excellent stuff through various 'end of year' lists, I may put together a 2015 mix if I get the time.
