Rogue one should really be in here. It's a prequel.

In all seriousness I do wonder how much Connective tissue there'll be between R1 and the prequels as there no doubt will be to a new hope?

That's kinda cool
SPOILER THAT.... never mind. Everyone already knows. Yeah, that is cool.
How can he survive in the cartoon, but not in Episode I? Aren't both cannon and a contradiction??
I think Ruddo means that
Spoiler: show
Darth Maul survived the events of Episode 1 to appear in Clone Wars and then survived the events of Clone Wars to appear in Rebels.
Yes, and Coach is asking how that is possible if he died in episode I?
Oh, well ...
Spoiler: show

Really? Got it.
If y'all have Netflix, watch these "Clone War" episodes to get the gist of the return of Maul: "Massacre," "Bounty," "Brothers" and "Revenge."

He then re-appears in the s2 finale of Rebels.

Very little or none, I would think.

Lucas talking at length about the mythology of star wars.
Filmed after phantom menace. So a good place to get an idea on his thinking.

They've been showing The Phantom Menace on TNT lately. I turned over to it last night, right where Jar-jar hits his head on the electric field of the pod racer and starts walking around with a numb tongue... :/

This documentary looks really really good. Lot of the podcasts I listen to are recommending it. It also explains the ring theory in Star Wars which will make you see the whole series in a new way.

Listen, I've got no problem with the stories in the prequels. It is just how they were executed that I don't like. The casting was pretty much awful with a few exceptions.

The stories were terrible. The basic idea of how Anakin turned to Skywalker could be a fine story, but the stories told in the prequels are so bad.

I kinda agree with Ruddo. The stories themselves aren't terrible. Certain plot points? Sure. (Jar Jar's inclusion, Midichlorians, Jango/Boba Fett, Padme dying due to dying, etc...) It's more the horrible acting and execution of the stories that bring them down.
