Washed the car on Sunday listenning to Endless Boogie's Long Island again.

Gotta say, if you are looking for an album to wash a car to on a Sunday, then you'd have to go a long way to top this one. Excellent.

Yeah, that's a solid fucking record. See them live if you ever get a chance. What'd you think of the CCR?

This might not be for everyone here, but shit, this compilation of NY hardcore just fucking slays. There's a free download for it on the site, for more refined tastes...

For the first time in decades, New York City possesses one of the most unique and groundbreaking hardcore punk scenes in the world, particularly through the "Toxic State sound." Ground Zero stands as both the definitive documentation of this NYC punk family, as well as proof of NYC's prominent standing in the American punk landscape.

This compilation LP features exclusive material from La Misma, Deformity, Nomad, Goosebumps, Black Boot, Putrida, Anasazi, Murderer, Sad Boys, Bortgang, Crazy Spirit, Perdition, and Dawn of Humans.

Released by Toxic State and Always Restrictions, distributed exclusively by Katorga Works.

I actually had a lot of difficulty fitting in a listen of this - all 4 songs and 11 minutes of it!! I do a lot of my listenning at work (office) and this one doesn't really fit that environment. Got there in the end though. This is probably a bit too screamy/loose for me, although perhaps its partly to do with not meshing so well with the stuff I've been listenning to lately.

Believe me, if Endless Boogie come within 3,000km of me I am there, guaranteed.

I have a bit of listenning in front of me at the moment - lots of interesting stuff available.

Just want to let y'all know that your posting hasn't been for naught. I've actually purchased several albums in this thread on your recommendations and descriptions. I've particularly enjoyed the Fire! Orchestra, Eluvium, Arbouretum and William Tyler releases. SNC, I tried to download that NYC hardcore sampler and it said the file had been deleted (I should start listening to some more recent hardcore-- I think the most recent hardcore album I own is Despise You's West Side Horizons).

So keep posting about those finds-- it may take me a while, but I'll pick up what I can find.

Yes this. This album plus the QOTSA and The Joy Formidable are the best 3 this year for me.

Just a gorgeous instrumental record from one of the Lambchop dudes. A must if you at all like Fahey. Glad you liked it Jorge. I finally picked up a proper copy of it yesterday.

She's massive in the UK. She was part of the London 'new-folk' touring set alongside Mumford & Sons and Noah and The Whale.
