So, out of curiosity, any covers from officially released live albums are eligible for inclusion, correct?

Honestly I wasn't considering live albums when making that rule. I'd lean no on those, but I'll let the rest of the group chime in before disallowing them.
You know, you'd want All Along the Watchtower allowed in a Hendrix tournament, but would you want Fuckin' Up allowed in a Pearl Jam one?

It really doesn't matter to me. I wasn't planning on picking one. So You Want To Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star from that first live album is a pretty well known cut from him/them, tho.

Yeah I don't really know much about his live releases so I'm not sure what we're talking about excluding/including.
