This is actually some ingenious marketing strategy. If you load up your corporate junk with concerted effort to appear racially empowering, it all but makes you invulnerable to criticism, and people think even less about shoveling their cash toward your product. I guess it makes sense that this is the only way we're truly going to make progress in America - united by artless commercialism.

I find artless consumerism much more rampant in the types of movies that LV professes to love.

you can have a serious discussion about how art is sponsored, supported, commidified, and the way this can both constrain and enhance the vision and reach of it. but you can also spout off canned boilerplate talking points that dont actually speak in any way to the art in question.

this isnt a question of what I can or cannot ‘see’, VG. im just not impressed by stock commentary

No, no...i wasnt thinking they call him a name...i do not agree LV 's post is cynic at all. He is displaying a truth there, an awful one, but its one a lot of people cant see yet.

There is nothing good about that pic at all, and for a reason, masses seem to miss the point. Regardless on how good the movie is or not. Thats why i dont agree with Stip, he basically shuts down LV because he haven't seen the movie...it doesnt matter, he talking about something else here.
