The science is not settled and you should not trust the science.
I don't think "pretty liberal" inevitably results in respect for trans people; that said, I'm satisfied that some people "agree" with the things I ask them to enough that I feel respected; if you want to see more, you can follow any of my socials and see what a "general audience" can look like outside RMRob wrote:It's a pretty liberal group here (mach aside), and I don't see many agreeing.Ms Harmless wrote:no, that's how it comes across to youRob wrote:I made it a point to say gender is fluid and should be respected. Even conceded that we differ on what science says and said fine (even though you're disagreeing). I was respectful to you the the whole time. And yes, I realize how this reads, so let me acknowledge that I don't know a damn thing about you or your life, but that's how it comes across to a general audience.
ugh. This thread is to much too bare. Happy?E.H. Ruddock wrote:*tooThe Argonaut wrote:I agree with her. Most of us do. This thread is just to much to bear
your reality in which I'm wrong about how I, and people like me, can be best respected? nah, you're finetree_ wrote:You’re trying to change all the rules, flip the tables on us. I think I've shown you respect in this thread. I have no issue with you. But you want us to respect your perspective while telling us (me) that ours is founded on ignorance (to paraphrase).Ms Harmless wrote:I don't think "pretty liberal" inevitably results in respect for trans people; that said, I'm satisfied that some people "agree" with the things I ask them to enough that I feel respected; if you want to see more, you can follow any of my socials and see what a "general audience" can look like outside RMRob wrote:It's a pretty liberal group here (mach aside), and I don't see many agreeing.Ms Harmless wrote:no, that's how it comes across to youRob wrote:I made it a point to say gender is fluid and should be respected. Here's a thread from a biologist. Perhaps this helps.Rob wrote:Ms Harmless wrote:science didn't appear in the big bang; humans needed it, so we created it![]()
We learned it. And yes, it evolves. Still, you're talking solely about gender, which I've already acknowledged is fluid (which is why they know how to help you). Do you think there is no such thing as a biological male or female? Is it all just a grey area to science?
