what if the guy is getting a call in his car, he doesn't have hands-free, and he wants to pull into a Home Depot parking lot to take the call. Is he entitled to use the handicap spot (knowing that there's a chance that a person leaving the store could trip and fall and spill her bag of nails, light bulbs, and batteries and he may have to help them)?

should it be legal for anyone to park in a handicapped spot and only get a ticket if someone with a handicap plaque/sticker actually tries to park in the spot that is taken by a handi-capable person?
peeps, this is all based on anecdotal evidence.

Chris even gives his friend the benefit of the doubt...
Chris_H_2 wrote:i have a buddy who got into a severe biking accident about a year ago and is still pretty messed up. he can walk, but needs a cane to do so. and he can drive. he (rightfully) has a handicap placard in his car.
he then goes on to state his opinion on the situation.
Chris_H_2 wrote: because the purpose of having a placard is to make it easier to walk to and from the place to where you drove. he wasn't using it for that purpose. he was just using it to park close so his daughter didn't have walk as far. and he was monopolizing the spot so it couldn't be used by someone who could have legitimately needed it.

i think he was abusing his privileges.
we all ran with that and decided we were cops and/or morally superior.

How do you feel about using the handicap bathroom stall?
i use it all the time. on our floor we have no wheelchair bound coworkers so it is safe to use it since each floor has their own rest rooms. if for some reason i was using the stall and someone came in and required it i would accept the shame and any punishment that would ensue. however i do not think the stall or urinal are marked handicapped

what if his face was where his butt should be, and his butt was where his chest should be?

you guys should either hold your pee or poop or find another bathroom.

using the handicap stall is just wrong.
