Re: Travel thread
Mrs Wease joined a friend for a weekend cruise and they get off the boat this morning. Her flight out of Miami is delayed 5 hours and her friend’s is outright canceled. Mrs Wease will now miss her connecting flight back to Nashville. They’re now telling Mrs Wease they don’t have anything else available until Wednesday.

Her flight was canceled. She got one for tomorrow. One more night of girls’ weekend, I guess.Monkey_Driven wrote:At that point, can she just cancel all together and drive?wease wrote:Mrs Wease joined a friend for a weekend cruise and they get off the boat this morning. I’d say there may not be many cars left at this point. Every flight out today was canceled and that’s a lot of people. She was lucky enough to have gotten ahead of everyone and booked her room early.

Europe is always incredible, and I’m going to enjoy my last couple days here, but this weekend I’m going to sit in my air-conditioned basement and have drinks with so much ice. There have been moments where crying has felt like a reasonable response to the heat and human closeness.

We tried to get into the gentleman’s club next door to see what goes on, but they wouldn’t let us in because they thought we were prostitutes trying to steal their business.

The burn scars from the fires in Ft Garland years ago, are now covered with new Aspen trees. That’s how it works. Pines burn, aspen grow, leaves fall and become mulch. Wash rinse repeat.
