I won't be going back to the Monster remix. Not a lot of fully realized ideas on the b sides/demos either, which is disappointing because some of those instrumentals sound cool. It's nice to have the original Monster though.

Are the liner notes good, at least?

I only have the 2LP, not the 5 cd set. I listened to the demos and live show on Spotify.

Tongue sounds great remixed! The rhythm section was so buried on the original mix that I honestly barely knew it was there. This new version is a pulsating, gyrating animal.

Crush With Eyeliner and Tongue sound brilliant on the remix :hooray:

Let Me In is a little odd without all the reverb.

Those little stabs of clean guitar in Tongue being removed really distracted me on the first listen.

You could probably convince me that Tongue was a Blonde on Blonde era Dylan demo if you took out the vocals. It’s so good.

It's OK. There's another traditional interview that they did right around the same time. I'll post it.

True, if you're into guitarbands, or indie music in general you can't ignore REM. To me and almost all critics their legacy is still growing. What an amazing band that was...
