Why the fuck did they take out Dierker after 5 innings?

He was up to bat with the bases loaded and nobody out and they pulled him for a pinch hitter.

I was just about to complain that I had runners on 1st and 2nd with one out in the 6th and Richard came up and put down a sacrifice bunt. To that point, he had allowed 6 runs in 5 innings.

I'm not saying in-game management is causing me to lose because it's obvious I've made some picks that really aren't working out, but decisions like that sure don't help my chances.

Also: Blyleven allows 6 runs without retiring a batter and the bullpen proceeds to throw 8 innings, allowing a run on 3 hits and striking out 13.

My bullpen has been crazy good... it's a shame the lineup and rotation have both sucked so much.

Edit: the bullpen ERA sits at 2.72 in 46 innings. Excluding Montgomery, the other five have an ERA under 2 in 41 innings.

I'm tossing up a Hail Mary here and plugging in Dietz and Devo for Olerud and Griffey tomorrow. Both lineups are updated.

I'm not sure if I confirmed this before, but Nagy will continue to start until further notice.

It took 18 games for my bullpen to log its first decision. Looks like Dwight Evans should have been in the starting lineup from the beginning.

I have a sinking feeling that the Aubrey Plazas are about to implode.

George Brett still hasn't struck out and Randy Myers is lights out in the 9th.
