i've had honey butter fried chicken and am definitely partial to big jones, specifically their breading and the quality of the chicken. but it's expensive and the portions are slight for the money. still, necessary to try. i originally went their for the gumbo, which is also great

i will investigate this matter and report back.
check out the catfish over red beans and grits next time you're there.
i also just remembered i own the big jones cookbook! i've made their etoufee recipe at home - subbed shrimp for crawdads. should really do that again soon.

i made tijuana taco soup, but my wife is taking part in a presentation to hundreds of people in the office adjacent to the kitchen, so i'll just have to let it simmer away for a bit.

Without question, the best friend chicken I've ever had was home made in this very apartment. I did not make it. But I sure ate it!
