He definitely got the biggest ovation - they cut it down on HBO. He was taken aback - nice moment.

McCready's Maniacs were out in full force.

Such a good song.
I'm definitely having a moment with Ten right now. Ten was this ubiquitous monster back in the day. I sort of heard it by osmosis. If you were a teenager in subrubia in the early 90s, there was no escaping it. But it was never really "my" record. My friends had it, I partially dubbed in on cassette (I think it was cutoff at Black or Oceans for side 1). My main memory is it's existence on MTV and radio, and really the live performances on Unplugged, SNL, and VMAs and just all the TV and media coverage around the cultural hysteria. I was just sort of swept up in the hysteria, where before I was primarily a hip hop and pop listener who respected classic rock. As I got more and more into the band, I was sort of on board with their whole ride at the time - around 93-94 - and rejecting the "Grunge" hysteria and the artifice of fame. So, I sort of backed away from Ten just like the band did. Plus, I was just sick of hearing the songs on the radio.

Now, with the HoF, for some reason I don't have that hang up anymore. I feel secure in that record being such a huge deal since the band proved themselves with their whole catalogue later on.
So, I don't have this whole thing with Ten being the only record in their catalogue that matters. I feel like the HoF validates the rest of their career as well, so I'm feeling like Ten is just simply the awesomely huge record it is without any insecurity. And, man, I'm hearing this with fresh ears now (the Redux BoB remix atleast). What a great record full of great juicy meaty riffs from Stone, leads from Mike, cool underneath playing by Jeff and that booming drum sounds from Krusen. And Ed just singing his heart out and great, dark lyrics. I feel like I'm hearing for the first time, and Even Flow is such a masterpiece of a rock song. I'm so glad these songs are part of rock's canon and lexicon. I credit my reawakening of Ten to simply watching Dave Krusen play with the band.

yeah, it was the same pop up they had on Record Store Day, just with some things already sold out

some hard-to-find things on vinyl (Lightning Bolt SEVENS box set, 1st Pressing TEN LP, PJ20 vinyl, 1st pressing Uke Songs LP, lots of side projects LPs), PJ wool baseball jerseys from CHI and BOS shows), other Chicago stuff (pennants), patches, stickers, t-shirts, hoodies, books, one of the 10c vault series sets (I think DC?), random stuff like that.

Just watched the HBO performance again with headphones. Jeff sounds fantastic. Especially on Betterman.

Yes
So, no matter what, you get to say "it's a mess" at least once per show
