One of the things I missed the most from this movie was the chemistry/romance between Newt and Tina. It's there, obviously, but it's a tertiary plot-line. They do have one scene though that... :heartbeat:

TCOG just takes this in such crazy new directions. Just like Chamber of Secrets, this movie feels like a soft reboot/launching off point for a much bigger story. I'm so excited to see where the final three movies take us.
Oh, I didn't mean Newt. I meant the other guy. With the mustache.
OH! Yeah, that is the more interesting romance to me as well. And that's a much bigger subplot in this. A lot of reviews I've seen are upset with it, but I was fascinated by where that goes in this movie.
You're not wrong there.
Spoiler: show
And I mean that in both what she did to him at the beginning and the choice she made at the end. Wow. I really liked the subtext how beliefs can make you do things that are so counter to what people think you would do.

And the last "you're crazy" and he said it out loud...that hurt, man. I felt that.
Spoiler: show
Totally agree!

i love Harry Potter movies, esp in front of the fireplace in the near-christmas season

i h8 all movies on the USA network because there are too many commercials and they cut down the film by 34% in order to fill the allocated time slot

I just finished Hereditary. Wow, a lot happened in that movie and it took several directions I didn't see expect. I guess I would classify it as a horror movie but not a text book horror movie either. Definitely not a fun scary watch. Toni Collette was every bit as good as advertised. Did I actually like it? I don't know, I'm going to have think about that one some.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
