I know youre joking but if governments don’t do this you have actual societal breakdown and violence quite quickly. I do wonder how this is gonna play in the US cos no way will this administration back such a proposal. People’s jobs are gone if their employers close up.

I think near everything is going to get shutdown. The only people working will be healthcare workers, first responders and food store employees. The latter feeling forced to work as they have no sick days and paid so poorly that they live paycheck to paycheck. What a lovely backbone to rely on during a pandemic.

I'm at VA in Buffalo, NY. It's the first time in the 7 years I've been here that any entry screenings have been put in place and they just went in place mid-last week so I can only assume that a bunch of our vets have contracted the virus.

there was a patient at the place I do work - there's a clinic in Vancouver, across the river from Portland - and he had it when he arrived. they said they took precautions but this was two weeks ago so before the hysteria set in. I don't go anywhere but from here to my car now.

While there may be some activity there dime, the military will more than likely also institute a "stay in place" policy, so there won't be too much troop movement back and forth that isn't necessary
