i might actually force my wife to watch this with me tonight. thanks for the reminder. i'm sure she'll love it. great time of year to force my wife to watch horror movies, which she tolerates, as long as i promise to give her a massage, which i will stop once she realizes it's a good movie

Bring Her Back was excellent. Tremendous performances all around.
It also features two of the most gruesomely hard to watch moments since the cheese grater in Evil Dead Rise.

Bring Her Back is pretty much a masterpiece
is "Together" any good, really? everyone's raved about it but for some reason I can't bring myself to click "rent"; something about it feels like I know exactly what it's got to offer before going in

"Together" has its moments. Its far from perfect, it has a very weird tone too like the first half is serious and then it tries to be a comedy too but it falls short on both.
Im interesting on your views anyway, specially the ending.

I watched The Descent last night and found it to be actively not good. Sometimes I wonder why I haven't watched many horror movies and my theory for a while has been that I am a scared and frightened little baby. But maybe it's because back when I was an impressionable youth falling in love with movies, this was the type of horror movie on offer. What's to love here?

The Descent sucks but using that to smear horror and, particularly, the 2000s era (which was a golden age) is silly.

What are the 10 best horror movies of the 2000s?
The Devil's Rejects has got to be up there. Does Zodiac count? Scooby-Doo?

I only have 16 movies rated a perfect 5. The Devil's Rejects is one of them. As good as it gets. Watch the unrated cut if you can.
