it's a better bridge, for sure, but I' much prefer Dark Matter to running (and I like Running). Dark Matter has an aggressive edge we haven't seen since Mind Your Matters or Comatose, and haven't seein a song that feels structured like an anthem since, I don't know? Do the Evolution? Vitalogy? And it works. I missed this so much

And I like Dark Matter, too. Right now I feel like they're worth a combined seven stars (which bodes well for the album overall), and I had been splitting the allotment right in half. But I think things have shifted enough that DM should only get three, and Running should get four.

I like the bridge "backing off" in Dark Matter, there's a hint of Riot Act's measuredness in it

I’m all for liking Running more than Dark Matter. But the Dark Matter bridge is not detrimental to the song, in fact it serves as a very important shift in order to build up to the Mike solo explosion.
