You guys should really read the books. The first one is almost identical to the first season and then it diverges a little. But this season is different in so many ways the books are significantly better than the show now.

paaks issue wasn't so much that he spoiled something (he just hinted). It's that he was asked very nicely to spoiler it and instead of saying "whoops, ill fix that" he went into this huge response about how the show essentially required you to do independent research, etc and was just generally kinda a jerk about it.

Someone (me? chris?) pointed out that it appeared dany was immune to fire, and he said it was clearly not the case and up to that point all we had seen was her in the scalding water, and then with the dragon eggs.

and CHUD. Yes. We all know there are books about this television program. We also know that the books are likely better (as is usually the case). However, some of us are choosing to enjoy the show on it's own, free of the things that seem to be disappointing so many of the book readers. I can only speak for myself when I promise to you that I will read the books eventually. Maybe even before the TV series is over.

the tv v. books debate is really about comparing apples to oranges. they're two different mediums, and what works for one can't necessarily work for the other (the show writers would get murdered if they have characters and storylines languishing intermittably for seasons on end so we can get every detail of everything, including the dialects and clothing -- it doesn't work that way).

c'mon skitch, you know damn well from reading this thread this season that it's much easier to bitch and make posts ridiculing people who ask nicely for spoilers than to click on the spoiler tabs at the top of the posts.

We get the Jorah going all Maximus last episode and a white walker "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!" This week

That was probably the best episode of the season.

Loved that episode. The clouds or smoke or whatever creeping over the mountains was pretty intense. We'll done by the director. Plus, great scene between Tyrion and Dany.

All sorts of perfect. Holy shit. Tyrion scenes were so top notch game of thrones interaction and then of course the white walkers....
