I heard Skitch is gonna sneak Alex Avila into the game in Carlton Fisk's jersey.

Belle is the only man with an .OPS over 1, but I'm pleasantly surprised with Ozzie Smith's slash line and 7 doubles. I love Valenzuela's 2.32 ERA and his 4 wins, as well as Rollie Fingers's 1.08 ERA with 5 saves. Tim Raines also has a respectable slash line to go with his 6 SBs. I feel like Schmidt's and Carew's >.380 BABIPs are going to translate into more production in the coming days. I can only hope.

My guys have dropped eight of eleven. The implosion is in full-effect.

My biggest regret right now is only drafting five starters. Of the four who opened the season in the rotation, Sam McDowell now leads with a 6.37 ERA. Meanwhile, Charles Nagy has allowed 1 run in 17 innings over his two starts. I would love to have someone else to take a flyer on with a couple spot starts right now, but my only real option is to ride things out and hope it turns around.

The lineup tweaks actually seemed to have helped the offense a bit, particularly getting dale murphy in. But man my rotation outside of gooden has been terrible.
